Very nice worker who tried to help best she could.
I love the grandmother (mother of the owner), and I just love his daughter and son! They are very sweet people; and she goes out of her way to include my girls in things when they’re outside playing with her grandkids like they’re family too almost! It’s nice, makes it feel like home instead of living at a hotel!
I liked the staff that checked me in, she was kind and speedy with check-in.
Proximity to EIU
Nothing. This hotel was dirty, there were men standing outside drinking beer (they left the bottles), and the room was expensive.
The exterior, common areas were nice and clean. Seemed to be well maintain amd clean common areas lile the reception area, bar and activity areas. The staff was really pleasant and hepful. Accomadating when I needed a first floor room because my wife is disabled.

The only thing we liked was leaving and a prompt refund.
Location was just right to be close to total eclipse. Otherwise, you would have no reason to stay in Mattoon. Quiet. Clean.
Our car broke down outside of town. Location was amazing for cheap restaurants, clean clothes, and other necessities just a walk away. Easy enough to walk to the train station too.

Property was beautiful, the bar/game area was large but cozy, amazing Halloween decorations!! Next time well book so we can enjoy the pool!!! Will definitely be back!
